Aisha has worked in community development for the past decade, with an academic
background in the social sciences and an ongoing interest in pushing for radical
transformation on a systemic level. Her practice is rooted in compassion, accessibility and holism – what will it take for us to all show up as ourselves, for each other, and the non-human world around us?
Aisha has a particular interest in reclaiming and re-engaging with land and nature for inner city and marginalized communities and currently works across several community projects – including a food growing initiative she has set up in East Birmingham, and with the
Birmingham and Black Country Wildlife Trust to increase and diversify engagement with
local green spaces.
In her spare time, she enjoys tending to her (many) cats, growing her own vegetables, and prioritizing joy and connection on a daily basis with her wonderful partner.
